The TR-808 was one of the first drum machines built to imitate acoustic drums. The TR-80A turns that idea inside out.

This pack began with the original analog sounds, recorded directly from a Roland TR-1000, whose analog circuits faithfully recreate the classic 808. Every instrument was then recreated using acoustic drums, found objects, and household percussion before being carefully EQ'd and processed to occupy the same space in a mix as the originals.

The result is a collection of drum samples that delivers the punch and mix-ready character of an 808 while retaining all the texture, movement, and personality of real-world recordings.
