What’s Inside the Liminal Series?
Celestial: 61 hi-fi synth one-shots from the UDO Super 6. Pristine, warm analog waves perfect for expansive, dreamlike pads and melodies. (Think shimmering plucks and lush chords straight from a high-end polysynth.)
Underworld: 61 lo-fi synth one-shots created by running the Celestial sounds through the 1986 Casio SK-1. Gritty, grainy and dark, these add a distinctly vintage lo-fi character for moody vibes.
Purgatory: 183 binaural synth samples alternating the Celestial (left) and Underworld (right) versions, enhanced with analog spring reverb on each channel. The result is an otherworldly stereo image – perfect for instant atmosphere and width.
Artifacts: 38 analog drum hits made with the Steiner Synthacon, then degraded through the SK-1. Thick kicks, snappy snares, and percussion that fuse analog warmth with lo-fi crunch – great for crafting a retro rhythm section.
Fossils: 38 hi-fi drum samples also from the Synthacon, capturing raw analog drum synth energy. Pair these with Artifacts’ lo-fi drums for a textural contrast or use them alone for pure analog punch.
Halflife: 78 hybrid drum samples combining Fossils (hi-fi) and Artifacts (lo-fi) versions of each sound. Layered and processed together (with Casio SK-1 and spring reverb), Halflife sits perfectly between clarity and dirt, giving you the best of both worlds in one hit.

It's a high fidelity LOFI!✨All you need for your dreamy songs is called Liminal!
Professionally curated by dreampop experts. Ethereal vibe, smooth drums and good variety of sounds. When I tried it I was blown away. Highly recommended
After getting Veil 75 and finding that pack was pretty interesting, then getting some ideas from seeing the posts on Instagram, I ended up getting this pack as well. It's got a ton of dimensionality, I feel like I've just scratched the surface but was able to get pretty interesting sounds following the "liminal" suggested workflow and playing hifi vs lofi in the spectral field. The best part is that out of the box the synth samples are really musical and easy to play in a sampler. I was playing around with the GOOD JOB! and found a really interesting "pad" sound that I paired with a pretty lush reverb, I then used OW! to create a really "funky" FM bass type sound and ended up really jamming out. HIVEMIND then was used to create a short lead, and glued it together with a drum loop and ended up with a pretty fun little demo. I'm excited to keep using this pack, I haven't quite scratched the drum one shots but have been really inspired so far, it's been worth the investment to get all the packs in one suite.
